The Hilderstone War Memorial

Thanks very much to the efforts of Mr. Paddy Stanley and Mrs. Joy Bratherton photographs are being assembled of the men of Hilderstone who gave their lives for their fellow countrymen during the First and Second World Wars.  These are gradually being included on the Hilderstone Miscellany Website.  The War Memorial page is accessible by clicking here.

If you are able to provide photographs of people from Hilderstone who were involved in fighting for their country we will be very grateful.  All items will be copied and returned.

Hilderstone History

Efforts are being made to prepare a history of Hilderstone and the immediate surrounding area.  It will be of considerable assistance if all those who have  photographs, documents, and/or reminiscences regarding the village contact the webmaster to assist in this project.  All items will be carefully looked after, copied, and returned to their owners with thanks.  If you can please help with is work

If sufficient material is assembled it is intended to publish it in booklet form.  All assistance will be gratefully acknowledged.  The proceeds of the  publication will all be donated to local good causes.
